DEACONS AND TRUSTEES
Deacons and trustees are the faithful, loving and spiritual men of the
church who serve as spiritual help to the Pastor. The deacons are the
servants who carry out work of the church. The Deacons have a threefold
responsibility in caring for the church’s people, the
church’s property, and the church’s Pastor. The
trustees’ provide assistance to the Deacons and Pastor in
conducting church financial business and needs of the church. The
trustees serve as legal officers for the church.
1 Timothy 3:13 For they that have used the office of deacon will
purchase to themselves a good degree and great boldness in the faith
which is in Christ Jesus.
MOTHERS’ MINISTRY
The Mothers of Holy Temple Church strive to set an example as aged
woman of wisdom who teaches the young women to be sober, to love their
husbands, to love their children and carry themselves as young ladies.
The mothers serve in the same capacity as the natural mother: giving
sound advice, sound judgment, and counseling with younger women
inspired by the word of God. The mothers are someone who the Pastor and
church can depend on to teach and council young ladies; always
available with a listening ear and spiritual advice about the matters
of life.
WOMEN’S OUTREACH MNISTRY
Holy Temple Outreach Ministry reaches out to those in need and lends
helping hands to the sick. The ministry stimulates service to others
through prayer, evangelism and organized personal service for the
community. The ministry is done out of a love for God, people and the
community.
USHERS
The ushers provide service to all that enter the doors of Holy Temple
Church by providing seating, comfort, and love to all. The Ushers are
ambassadors for Christ Jesus and representatives of the church as
gracious and loving host. Their responsibilities are to minister to the
needs of the people and the church. The goal of the usher is to assure
all things are done decent and in order in the spirit of service and
love.
Psalm 84: 1, 4, 10 How lovely is your dwelling place, O’Lord
Almighty...Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever
praising you . . . Better is one day in your courts than a thousand
elsewhere; I would rather be s doorkeeper in the house of my God than
dwell in the tents of the
wicked.
EDUCATION MINISTRY
The goal of the education ministry is to provide biblical teaching for
bible teaching programs. The programs teach biblical Revelation about
Christ to the church membership. Bible teaching programs consist of
adult and youth Sunday school and Bible Study. The Bible Study Program
is usually conducted by the Pastor or the Administrator of Education.
These teaching programs provide opportunities for Christian growth;
questions can be asked and discussed during these classes. Everyone is
given an opportunity to express their interpretations of the scripture
and/or give a brief living testimony. The Administrator of Education
supervises the biblical programs and makes recommendations to the
Pastor and church.
Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written
for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the
scriptures might have hope.
HOLY TEMPLE YOUTH
Psalm 103:5 who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy
youth is renewed like the eagles.
There is so much going on in the presence of today’s youth.
Just as Psalm 103:5 says:” thy youth is renewed like the
eagles”. Youth today need a lot of spiritual time
and ministry to renew them like the eagles. They are free spirited
& energetic. Our youth are blessed to have a young anointed
Pastor who loves them and doesn’t mind working with
them. He can relate, talk and minister to their
needs. The youth are our future so we truly want to invest in
their lives.
Every fourth Sunday at Holy Temple our youth open up service through
song, scripture, prayer and taking up the offering. This is
teaching them and preparing them for the future. We have an annual
youth day and program. We have a scheduled overnight trip and scheduled
outings. We thank God for our youth and are planning on doing
more with them to be sure we keep God incorporated in their lives
daily. Proverbs 22:6 tells us to: Train up a child
in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from
it. Here at Holy Temple with the help of parents, Sunday school
teachers, youth leaders, our Pastor and especially God, this is what we
are determined to do.
HOLY TEMPLE CHOIR
The word of God tells us in Psalm 92:1 It is a good thing to give
thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
We are a loving, blessed and anointed choir who loves to sing
praises to the most High. We praise and worship the Lord through our
singing and look forward to each Sunday to help usher in the presence
of the Holy Spirit and set the atmosphere for our Brothers and Sisters
in Christ to praise and worship with us. Ephesians 5:19 tells
us, Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. We especially seek
God in our song selection for songs that will truly glorify Him and
assist in setting an anointed atmosphere for our Pastor to continue
keeping the flow of the presence of the Holy Spirit of our Savior Jesus
Christ lifted up, as he ministers the word of God to us. Psalm 66:8
tells us: Oh bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise
be heard.
MUSIC MINISTRY
Psalm 150:1-6 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise
him in the firmament of his power. Praise Him for His mighty acts:
praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Praise Him with the
sound of the trumpet: praise Him with the psaltery and harp. Praise Him
with the timbrel and dance. Praise Him with the stringed instruments
and organs. Praise Him
God has blessed Holy Temple with anointed Musicians who truly live for
and love God. God has blessed us with this musical talent, so what
better way to give back to him by playing his musical songs of
Zion. Psalm 92:4 says, For thou, Lord, hast made me glad
through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy
hands. We believe in keeping God high and lifted up through
our musical ministry. We pray for God’s anointing
to fall on us as we lead the choir into their song ministry to lift up
the name of the Lord together as high as we possibly can. Psalm 98:
5&6 says for us to sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the
harp, and the voices of psalm. With the trumpets and sound of the
cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.
KITCHEN MINISTRY
Holy Temple kitchen ministry is a vision of the church that
demonstrates the love of God to every guest and member who enters the
fellowship hall. We demonstrate this ministry by showing kindness,
being friendly, and greeting each person with a smile. We take the time
to make sure every guest or member has exactly what they need to enjoy
their meal. We also help other ministries in our church by assisting
them with decorating the fellowship hall and or meal preparation for
any event they may be sponsoring.
Our members are always willing to help with anything that may need to
be done before or after serving our guest. We share the love of God in
our kitchen and this helps make even the worst job: cleaning up, fun!
We believe you can have fun and serve God at the same time. Being a
part of our kitchen ministry doesn't require you to know how to cook,
but it does require you to be friendly, kind and willing to serve with
a smile.
We work well together as a church family and would like to extend an
invitation to you to come and share with us as we prepare to break
bread together.
